Το Σάββατο 27 Αυγούστου, η ταράτσα του BIOS φιλοξενεί δύο γυναίκες της Synth Pop μουσικής, την DESIRE, ή αλλιώς Megan Louise της Αμερικάνικης δισκογραφικής Italians Do it Better, και Kid Moxie, δηλαδή Έλενα Χαρμπίλα, σε έναν απολαυστικό, αισθησιακό συνδυασμό italo disco και synth-pop beats. Το DJ set γίνεται με αφορμή το release του AFTER DARK 4, ενός μουσικού compilation με ήχους Italo Disco, Electro, AOR, Film Score, Minimal Wave, Punk, Dream Pop…
ITALIANS DO IT BETTER: η δισκογραφική εταιρεία/κολεκτίβα του θρυλικού Johnny Jewel, που παραμένει ανεξάρτητη και στηρίζει την Italians do it Better οικογένεια εδώ και 20 χρόνια. Με ονόματα όπως Chromatics, Glass Candy, Symmetry και Sally Shapiro, η κολεκτίβα είναι γνωστή για τη διακριτή της αισθητική από φιλμ νουάρ, πειραματική synth-pop μουσική, ρετρό χολιγουντιανή ατμόσφαιρα, poster αισθητική. Δεν είναι τυχαίο άλλωστε που ο Jewel επιμελήθηκε το soundtrack της ταινίας Drive του Δανού Nicolas Winding Refn, και του Lost River, σε σκηνοθεσία Ryan Gosling.

KID MOXIE: το ψευδώνυμο και πρότζεκτ της ελληνίδας μουσικού και ηθοποιού Έλενας Χαρμπίλα, που εδώ και καιρό ζει και δουλεύει στο Los Angeles, έχοντας πραγματοποιήσει συνεργασίες με τους Angelo Badalamenti, David Lynch, Al Pachino.

This Saturday, August 27th, Bios.Rooftop is hosting DESIRE's Megan Louise, of the American record label ITALIANS DO IT BETTER, and Kid Moxie, aka Elena Charbila, in a delightful, sensual combination of italo disco and synth-pop beats, on the occasion of the release of AFTER DARK 4, a music compilation with Italo Disco, Electro, AOR, Film Score, Minimal Wave, Punk, Dream Pop sounds.
ITALIANS DO IT BETTER: the label/collective founded by the legendary Johnny Jewel, prolific, independent and supporting the Italians do it Better family for the past 20 years. With artists like Chromatics, Glass Candy, Symmetry and Sally Shapiro on its roster, the collective is known for its distinct film noir aesthetic, experimental synth-pop music, retro Hollywood atmosphere.
DESIRE: Megan Louise and Johnny Jewel’s music project, with tracks like Under Your Spell, (Drive, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Tears from Heaven, Don't Call. Dream pop aesthetics, smooth beats and haunting vocals.
KID MOXIE: the moniker and project of Greek musician and actress Elena Charbila, who has been living and working in Los Angeles for some more than a decade, having collaborated with Angelo Badalamenti, David Lynch, Al Pachino.
